The Crystal Hermitage Gardens are looking phenomenal, even as the tulips begin to wind down due to the continued heat. But stunning Azaleas, Camillias, Iris, Woodland Hyecynth, Snap Dragons, Tree peonies, peonies. The trees are looking glorious, and the views. So many people enjoying the chapel and the Moksha Mandir to visit and sit quietly. Purchase tickets everyday until Sunday, May 21, which will be our last day of the tulip season.

ONLY A FEW MORE DAYS BEFORE THE PINK FLOWERING CHERRY BLOSSOM FINISH at Crystal Hermitage Gardens We don’t think they will make it to the weekend for Mother’s Day. However, the Tulips are in FULL BLOOM. And still more to blossom! Thousands of tulips for Mothers Day weekend. It is still a full and beautiful garden. It’s still very much happening for this week! Everyone comes for the tulips, however they are struck by the magnificent trees, the stunning bushes and shrubs, the thousands of other flowers, the ground cover, the profoundly inspiring chapel and Mandir, the pond and pool (no swimming) the wisteria, the uplifting fragrances, the songs from the birds, the croaks from the frogs, the mesmerizing sacred statues, the epic views, deep healing, uplifting wonder and much more! Wear layers, water clothes, and rain wear too. It’s MAGNIFICENT! The cold and rainy weather will not hurt the tulips. It will prolong the flowers.

The gardens are beautiful. They will last until May 14. It has rained. It is cooler, but it is outrageously gorgeous. SPECTACULAR! Still very much worth a visit today and everyday! The carpet of pink cherry blossoms are beginning!!! 🩷Our beautiful Kwanzan Sekiyama pink cherry blossoms will certainly last into the weekend and next week. If we are lucky and the conditions are just right, it could last until Mother’s day…

Tulip Bouquets: Designed by gophers or ground squirrels. Mother Nature is always surprising us! This coming week – cooler weather and rain. The change in the temperatures will sustain the blooms. The cherry tree is almost done blooming however, the best part is about to happen. When the pink blossoms will fall to the grown and create a beautiful pink carpet pathway underneath the trees.

The founder of Ananda Village, Swami Kriyananda had the vision that Crystal Hermitage Gardens would become a world class garden. Everybody that is visiting the over 10,000 tulips that are blooming right now (and thousands more to come) couldn’t agree more! World Class. Beauty. A stunning, hot, weekend ahead followed by a much cooler week should preserve the tulips longer, but everybody is enjoying the warmer weather.

If were waiting for the perfect time to visit. It’s time! The Kwanzan Sekiyama cherry trees are blooming. The trees have started to bloom. 70s and 80 degree weather will make everything pop. This week and through the weekend of April 28 and April 29th will be fantastic.

The tulips are coming out everyday and bringing a special light to the Crystal Hermitage Gardens . We are not in full bloom; there are about 450 tulips out with thousands of buds getting ready to pop! The gardens are truly spectacular though. The sun is here. It will be a beautiful weekend. Next week will see fuller blooms. The real magic in a week or two. We are just loving the gardens right now; so many colors, scents, textures, and a delightful divine tapestry from Mother Nature.

Finally the sun is out! The volunteers are out in full force cleaning up the garden and making repairs. Ananda Village has a “all hands” volunteer work day scheduled for Crystal Hermitage and The Expanding Light Retreat. These work days are the final push to get Ananda ready for over ten thousand visitors during the tulip season!

Snowmageddon will delay the tulips this year. If you are expecting a garden full of tulips in bloom you might want to change your reservations for the second to third week of April. We have also extended the dates to May 7, 2023.

No signs of flowers yet. Ananda Village the location of the Crystal Hermitage is digging out of the recent snow storms. We have received many concerned messages about the snow and hail storms damaging the tulips. There is no need for concern. Tulips love this kind of weather. In fact we think it a sign for a magnificent tulip season.
