Ananda Village Invites the Public to Temple of Light Open House Sept. 21
All are welcome to tour the recently completed $3.85 million Temple of Light at Ananda Village Sept. 21.
An open house is scheduled 10:30am-2:30pm. The temple is dedicated to Indian spiritual teacher Paramhansa Yogananda and the world’s major religions. It features a glass cupola and niches honoring Buddhism, Sikhism, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism and Islam.
The money to pay for the temple was raised from more than 1,800 donors from 24 countries. It is a beautiful sacred space built as a resource for spiritual inspiration and the upliftment of mankind. The builders and community members regularly meditated in the space, offering healing prayers to those in need.

Those who attend the open house are also invited to visit Ananda’s Crystal Hermitage gardens, the Living Wisdom School (preschool through high school), find out about Ananda businesses and eat lunch on the lawn downtown Ananda Village.
Ananda Village is a world brotherhood community of about 200 residents dedicated to following Yogananda’s teachings of high ideals and simple living. Other Ananda world brotherhood communities are located in Sacramento, Palo Alto, Portland, Seattle, India and Italy.
Ananda Village is located at 14618 Tyler Foote Road, Nevada City. For more information, call, 530-478-7500 or visit anandavillage.org.
